Welcome back. Thanks for joining us this summer as we walk through a study/message series on 1 Thessalonians 5. In Paul’s closing remarks to the church in Thessalonica, he identifies a series of tasks the church should do to be healthy. We’re digging into God’s Word so we can be healthy. These tasks are not just for the church or the community of believers, but for all of us to individually pursue.
We hope our words touch you where needed. More importantly, we pray you allow God to grab a hold of your heart in a stronger way day by day.
Today’s message is by Joel Morris. Today, Joel discusses no quenching nor grieving the Holy Spirit from 1 Thessalonians 5:19-20. Quenching and grieving are simply two sides of the same problem; one describes what you do… the other describes what God does. You quench… the Spirit grieves. He grieves… because you quench. You do not quench the Holy Spirit without grieving the Holy Spirit, and you will not grieve the Holy Spirit unless you quench the Holy Spirit. Please consider this.
Blessings to you,
